Frequently Asked Questions

  • I provide both individual and group therapy. My focus as a therapist tends to center on supporting people with trauma, grief, difficulties with connection, and suicidal thoughts.

  • Simply send me a message, and we’ll schedule a (free) 30-minute consultation! We’ll talk about what you’re looking for in therapy and how working together might be helpful. We can also discuss any questions or concerns you have.

  • I’m not currently in-network with any insurance plans. However, I frequently work with people who receive partial reimbursement of their therapy costs from their insurance. That reimbursement can be a high or low, depending on your plan. I have a billing system that makes receiving reimbursement easier, without additional paperwork on your part. If you have any questions, let me know!

Note: I’m in the process of credentialing with a few insurers, and I’ll update my website when I become in-network with any insurance plans.

  • My fee for a 55-minute session is $200.

We can schedule a free 30-minute consultation to talk more about whether therapy together would be a good fit for you. I can also answer any other questions you may have.

  • I reserve a few spots in my calendar for reduced-fee or “sliding scale” appointments. If you’re interested in therapy together but worried about the cost, please let me know!

  • Both! I’m happy to accommodate whatever works best for you.

  • I typically meet with people on a weekly basis. This regularity facilitates a stronger therapeutic relationship and a more effective rhythm for addressing people’s concerns. After I’ve been working with someone for a time, and their main concerns have diminished or become more manageable, I’m happy to meet less frequently.

  • People describe me as warm, inviting, attentive, and curious. I try to be a human being in the room with you. While I am professional and take the work of therapy seriously, I don’t pretend that I’m not also a person in the world. I’m not afraid to laugh or share my reactions, and I’m always open to questions you may have about the process of therapy. If we do a consult together, you’ll immediately get a sense of how I would be if we were working together.
