Loss and Grief

Losses happen throughout our lives. We lose people we love. Relationships end. We leave — whether by choice or not — places and communities that matter to us. As we move through the world, we experience changes to the fabric of our lives that can’t be undone. Even when there is a new beginning, or a hoped-for change, we can experience a sense of loss about what we’re having to leave behind.

Sometimes it can feel like there’s no time or space to mourn our losses. It can be especially hard to process our grief when we’re expected to keep working, to “move on,” and to handle it ourselves (e.g., keep our pain neat and tidy). Therapy can be space to sit with your grief, explore what you’re mourning, and sort through what your loss means for your life.

How to Begin

1

Send me a message, and we’ll schedule a free 30-minute consultation to determine how working together would be helpful.

2

On a phone or video call, we’ll talk about your interest in therapy, what you’re hoping to get out of it, and how I can be helpful. I’ll be able to answer any questions you have about working together.

3

If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule our first session!
